Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide insurance?
No. We do not provide traditional auto insurance. All renters must either upload valid personal auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles or select one of our Damage Waiver options at booking:
Standard Protection – $35/day: You’re protected against major repair bills. Your responsibility is capped at $2,000 per incident, and we take care of the rest.
Premium Protection – $50/day: You get complete peace of mind. You’ll have no out-of-pocket costs for damage - everything is fully covered.
The Damage Waiver is automatically added at the time of booking if no valid insurance is uploaded. If insurance is uploaded and approved during the booking process, the waiver can be removed. No exceptions.
What is the Damage Waiver?
The Damage Waiver protects the rental car against physical damage, including:
Collision (any fault)
Theft
Vandalism
Fire
Weather-related damage
Key loss or damage
We offer two levels of protection:
Standard Protection - $35/day: You’re protected against major repair bills. Your responsibility is capped at $2,000 per incident, and we take care of the rest.
Premium Protection - $50/day: You get complete peace of mind. You’ll have no out-of-pocket costs for damage - everything is fully covered.
The waiver protects the car only. it is not a substitute liability insurance.
Do I need to buy the Damage Waiver if I have my own insurance?
Maybe. If your personal auto policy includes liability and collision coverage, you can upload a copy of your insurance declarations page and the Damage Waiver requirement will be removed.
If your policy is liability-only, or if you cannot provide proof of collision coverage, you must select one of our waivers:
Standard Protection – $35/day: You’re protected against major repair bills. Your responsibility is capped at $2,000 per incident, and we take care of the rest.
Premium Protection – $50/day: You get complete peace of mind. You’ll have no out-of-pocket costs for damage - everything is fully covered.
A standard insurance ID card is not enough — it only shows liability coverage. We must see your declarations page or a screenshot from your insurance company’s app that clearly lists collision coverage.
Am I covered by my own insurance?
Most personal auto policies include rental cars, but not all. It’s your responsibility to confirm with your insurance company. Either way, you’re responsible for any damage to the rental. If your policy doesn’t cover it, you’ll need to pay out of pocket or choose our optional Damage Waiver.
My child is taking the road test - do I still need to provide insurance?
Yes. The rental must be booked by a licensed driver who will act as the sponsor during the road test.
At the time of booking, the sponsor must either:
Upload valid personal auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles, or
Select one of our damage waiver options:
Standard Protection – $35/day: You’re protected against major repair bills. Your responsibility is capped at $2,000 per incident, and we take care of the rest.
Premium Protection – $50/day: You get complete peace of mind. You’ll have no out-of-pocket costs for damage - everything is fully covered.
If no insurance is uploaded and approved ahead of time, a damage waiver will remain on the booking. This policy applies to all rentals, including road test appointments.
How does the booking process work?
Book your car online and you’ll get a confirmation email once it’s approved. Before pickup, we’ll ask you to:
Upload a clear photo of your driver’s license and a selfie holding that license next to your face so we can verify it’s really you.

Premium Protection – $50/day: You get complete peace of mind. You’ll have no out-of-pocket costs for damage - everything is fully covered.
Once everything’s verified, we’ll send you the lockbox code—usually the morning of your rental or a few hours before pickup.
Show up, grab the key, and hit the road. When you’re done, return the car to one of our reserved spots, put the key back in the lockbox, upload photos, and attach it to the window. That’s it.

When can I book and pick up a rental?
You can book a car any day of the week — pickups are available until 8 PM daily, including weekends.

Even if you’re picking up on a weekend or after hours, you’ll still get everything you need on time — no lines, no waiting.
📞 Business hours for support are Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Bookings can still be made outside those hours as long as they meet the advance notice requirement.
Can I rent a car on short notice or same-day?

Do I need to upload photos when picking up or dropping off?

What documents do I need?
You’ll need a valid driver’s license (or a learner’s permit if you’re taking the road test) and either:
Valid personal auto insurance that extends to rental vehicles, or

Road test rentals also require a licensed sponsor (the person who books and drives the car to the test).
Are your vehicles RMV-approved for road tests?
Yes. All of our road test rental vehicles meet Massachusetts RMV requirements. They’re fully insured, have current registration and inspection, and include an emergency brake in the center console. We also provide a completed sponsor form for the licensed driver accompanying the permit holder. Everything you need to pass your test with confidence. Important: Be sure to select the “Road Test Appointment” add-on when booking so we can prepare the car and paperwork ahead of time.
Are your vehicles tracked with GPS?
Yes. All our vehicles have GPS trackers with tamper alerts for mileage verification, theft prevention, and recovery. By renting, you agree not to remove, disable, or interfere with the device. Tampering or losing the GPS will result in a $350 charge and may end your rental immediately.
How do tolls work with my rental?
All vehicles come with a built-in Massachusetts E-ZPass transponder. If you pass through any tolls, we’ll charge the toll amount to your card after the rental, plus a $3 processing fee per toll to cover admin costs.
Example:
If you hit 3 tolls totaling $7.50, your card will be charged $16.50 ($7.50 in tolls + $9 in admin fees).
We’ll send you an email with a breakdown if any tolls are charged after your trip.
Is there anyone I can contact if I need help during my rental?
Absolutely. Just because it’s contactless doesn’t mean you’re on your own. You can call or text us 📞 (508) 473-1883 anytime during your rental — we’re here to help.
Do you rent to under 25?
Yes. The minimum rental age is 21. Drivers ages 21–24 are welcome, but a $25/day underage fee applies.
Can I return after-hours?
Yes. All rentals use lockboxes. You’ll pick up your car using a code, and return it the same way - just put the key back in the lockbox, attach it to the window, and park in one of the designated reserved spots.
Can I pay with debit?
Yes, we accept all major debit cards. A $300 refundable security deposit will be placed as a pre-authorization hold at the time of pickup. The hold is released automatically after the vehicle is returned without issues. Debit cards must be in the renter’s name, and the full amount must be available on the card at the time of pickup.
