Can I rent just for the test hour?
Rentals are by the day. That gives you time to breathe, practice, and handle any schedule hiccups. You may return the car earlier if you prefer, as we offer contactless returns at any time after your test.

Can I leave my own car at your lot while I take my road test?
Yes, renters are permitted to park their personal vehicles on our lot for the duration of their rental. However, please not that Star Car Rental is not responsible for any damage to or theft of your personal vehicle or its contents. Parking is at the owner’s sole discretion and risk.
Will this car be accepted for the road test?
Yes. All of our road test ready cars are inspected and meet the RMV’s requirements (lights, horn, parking brake, etc.).
Can I return the car after hours?
Yes. Since everything is contactless, you can return the car any time after your test, even after 5 PM. Just lock the keys back in the window lockbox and you’re all set.
When do I get my deposit back?
We release the $300 hold after return checks are complete. Banks typically drop it within 5–7 business days.
Do I need the damage protection?
It’s mandatory if you do not upload your own personal auto insurance and it protects you from a bigger bill if something goes wrong. Without it, you’re fully responsible.
